Göran Persson

Göran Persson has had a long political career. Between 1989 and 1991 he was Minister of Education, and between 1994 and 1996 he was Minister of Finance in the Swedish government. He is most recognized as Swedish Prime Minister for a period of ten years, up until 2006.

Following his political career, Göran has focused on agriculture, strategic counselling as well as various board management mandates. Through the years he has held chairman positions in Sveaskog and Scandinavian Biogas. He also been Senior Advisor at legacy JKL.

Today Göran parts his time between strategic counselling and chairman positions at LKAB, GreenGold Group and Swedbank. Furthermore, he continues to run his farm in Sörmland, south of Stockholm.

Göran’s knowledge of the Swedish society is extensive. The combination of deep insights into politics along with his wide knowledge of business developments is, more or less, unique for Göran. He possesses special knowledge in areas such as Energy, Industrials and Finance.
